This product is non toxic dyed cedar wood chips. It is not recycled wood pallets like some other dyed or bagged products. Red-Dye Chips are chipped and shredded cedar wood that has gone through a dying process to give it a vibrant red color.

It is a excellent soil conditioner, lending body, and aeration thus increasing water retention and root penetration in all soil types. A finely ground CEDAR, Triple Grind is ideal as a soil amendment in place of imported Sphagnum Peat Moss and Coconut Coir products.

It is made from local trees (mainly ficus and pine). They are screened at 3/8" - 3/4" in size. No herbicides or pesticides are used. The Brown Shredded provides a natural look to your landscape. A two-inch layer should be applied to help with moisture retention. A 3-inch layer should be applied to help with weed prevention if a weed barrier is not being used. Leave 6" - 8" bare near the base of plants.
